So we didn’t quite make it to the rugby game…..We
were all ready to go but then we heard that Vivid was having its opening night
down at the harbor. Once a year during the last week in May and first week in
June, Sydney puts on a huge lights festival every night, called Vivid. Artists
essentially create movies and they project these onto all of the buildings down
at the harbor. It is pretty incredible because they get the light projections
to perfectly match up with the building (no small feat when that building is
the opera house, see pics below they are crazy). The harbor was packed, there
were light shows and attractions all over, music blasting, and tons of food
vendors. (Don’t worry the food gets
its own post). With Vivid here every night to keep us entertained,
Sydney seems to get better and better.
