Akaroa

This small town is the epitome of quaint by anyone's standards. This was one of the first places that the French landed and they have certainly left their mark. The town is characterized by rose bushes, little cafes, and cute shops. The name itself means long harbor as the town is positioned on a very narrow long bay. We spent two entire days here enjoying the town. We spent our mornings sipping cappucinos for hours and our evenings sipping wine. This place is pretty enchanting which was quite a relief after Christchurch.
