Fun Facts:

• ·      Fiji has fruit bats the size of hawks.
• ·      There are geckos everywhere, but mainly the ceilings of our bures at night
• ·      Everyone smokes cigarettes- Fijians, travelers, everyone except us.
• ·      Kyle has gone a week without wearing shoes
• ·      They indeed sell Fiji Water here (which we are pretty sure is the local tap water)
• ·      We have only met one other American, but many Candadians
• ·      Even when it is cloudy we get sun burned
• ·      Every Fijian is missing a minimum of one tooth
• ·      Fijian men traditionally and currently wear skirts (similar to a kilt, minus the plaid and pleats)

Lessons Learned:

• ·      Always travel with a watch
• ·      Bring rubber flipflops, not leather rainbows
• ·      Take half the shit you think you need (seriously)
• ·      Don’t tip if it isn’t customary in the country you’re in
