half way

We have officially survived the first leg of our trip. After a brief hiccup that caused us both a minor heart attack, we boarded our flight only to learn that we were in the middle of the plane, in the middle row, in the middle two seats. As the cherry on top, Kyle was sat next to an elbow happy biatch. We both were nearing a claustrophobic attack when good karma came our way. The row next to us had empty seats and the kind lady next to me moved over leaving us with an extra seat! Helloooo leg room! This also meant that the elbow pusher got her armrest entirely to herself and we did not have to deal with her again! Two movies and a disgusting meal later, we popped a valium and went to sleep. (The bottomless wine and beer we were served didn’t hurt either.) The flight was quite uneventful and went surprisingly quickly. The Auckland Airport is beautiful and we are off to explore the impressive international terminal.
Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the gorgeous beaches of Fiji!
