Last day at Crusoe’s was a relaxing one. We slowly woke up
and made our way down to breakfast where we hung out with our French friends Lise
and William. Then it was time for church in the nearby village. The service was
in the native Fijian language so we could not understand, but it was still
quiet the experience. With so many people packed into the tiny church, it was
extremely hot. The choir was amazing and sang nearly the entire service. Once
church was out we just hung out on the beach and napped the day away. It was
quiet windy today and the water was very churned up so snorkeling was not the
best. We nearly missed happy hour because we were playing some pretty
competitive beach volleyball with Lise and William from France and Sabrina and
Kirsty from Sydney. Dinner was BBQ and the chef had some of the best homemade
hot sauce I have ever had. (Even Sriacha and Chulula cannot compare). We are
now all packed up and ready for the next leg of the adventure. Hopefully the
rain and wind will be a little less out on Bounty Island, but if not we won’t
be letting the weather keep us down. The drive north could get a little sketchy
with all the recent rain. Today some guests had to take a boat a few miles down
the coast to get their shuttle because the road out of Crusoe’s was blocked by
a fallen tree! Here’s hoping the Giants beat Brady and the Pats tomorrow!
