- There is an alarming amount of roadkill in NZ
- This leads to an abnormal amount of giant hawks in the road
- Ace has consumed 3 birds thus far, luckily none of which were hawks
- Fish and Chips (or as locals say, "fush and chups") is the national food of NZ
- Ace's damp musk is a result of hundreds of leaks (not a good combination with the amount of rain we are dealing with)
- They farm deer here- very weird
- kiwi can't fly because they had no predators for thousands of years, thus never needed to fly
- kyle is afraid of birds
- they do not have or eat turkey here
- we have seen two Raider hats- Raider Nation is alive and well
- McDonald's is called "Macca's"
- Gas here is officially $8 a gallon (makes $5 look pretty damn good!)
- Kyle bought a Ukulele...
Lessons Learned:
- after 6 days without a shower, nobody is a happy camper
- Internet is precious
- Going right on red does not translate to going left on red when driving on the other side.
- Always park on a flat area if you sleep in your car
- sandflies suck
